Adventure 4 Liz!

Hmmm.. I'm crazy XD

Next Fri till Sun I've decided to go on a road trip to Melb with a few friends! This one is with a few OCF peeps.
Then on Tues, I'll be going to Victor Harbour (2 hours drive) from my place and see penguins at nite as well as sun rise. 1 nite with my uni friends.
The following Sat I'll be going for Easter Camp!! 4days 3 nites.

Can't wait! :)

But first, focus on assignment, 'cuz I'm suppose to pass up on Mon (day after Melb trip) >_< shucks!

Weight increase

Yes!! It's trueee... I've only been here for almost 2 months already, and I've gained.. *drumrolls*
Anyone would like to take a guess????

Answer: 3 kgs!!!!

A lot huh? My friends took few months, like after winter to gain 5-8 kgs here. I'm only here for 2 mths and I've gained 3kgs already.

I really wonder is it because my calf are a bit toned, so the muscles weight added up into my overall weight.. Who am I kidding? I've been eating a lot more here as well! When I'm bored I eat biscuits.. lots of them. When I'm out the portions are big rite... I eat my portion & my friend's when they can't finish theirs (not all the time la.. My stomach still got limit k!). When I'm on my own at home, I usually cook.

So far, I've cooked, spaggeti (today, 1st time, was a success :9). I cooked fried rice a few times before. Sometimes I cook vegie soup. Come to think of it.. Simple kinda food ler.. :)

So yeah.. Lizziee, also known as Lizzy here in Aus, have put on 3kgs. Should I be proud of it? I'm still ok with it, just a lil worried. I freaked out for a moment when I first weight myself. Now, it doesn't worry much. I do enjoy eating, but I'll make sure that I'll control also ler.

Nopez.. outward physically can't see much difference. My face is still round from the last time ppl back home saw me... still the sameeee!! Not conning you peeps XD

Kayaking / Canoe-ing

Remember I said I experience so many things here compared to M'sia?
Well, for the very first time, I went for canoe-ing!! Woohoo!!! My friend brought me to Victor Harbour, one the lakes there - so clear, so beautifuL!! It was fun & I felt so peaceful just floating at the middle of the lake, and watch the sun shine unto the water. The houses around the lake are awesome :)

It was soooo refreshing just sitting in the canoe at the middle of the lake, during a hot day... and dip my hands into the lake water, because the water is cool & it's so refreshing! I should have swam or something XD Then again, I scared I drown 'cuz I haven't swam for a while. LOL!!
My friends tried to con me & wanted to throw me into water. It didn't work out XD What to do? I so innocent :P

Update!

I wanted to show more pictures, but it's quite 'mah fun' to load all the pics here. Got too many already XD Also, a bit paranoid, that some wacko may steal pics from my blog. Friends, please ask for my permission before taking pictures off my blog, ok? :)

Anyway, update so far... I still love the place & the people I hang out with here. I am so so blessed by them. I don't know how to thank God enough for them and what He has done in my life through this people. It was hard for me to just receive God's blessings at first with an open heart and allow these people to come into my life to just bless me. But now I am slowly learning to open up my eyes to see what God is doing in these people, through these people's lives... and how much He loves me and would help me through my stay here. I really pray that through these experiences, I am able to help the new batch of new students as well and bless them as these people have blessed me so much. I am just so amazed!

What else? Yes, uni has started! TOUGH!!! I not only can't concentrate or focus in class... I am most of the time clueless in class! Don't know what the... is the lecturer talking about :( Then, assignment load seems so lil but so many things we are unsure on how to do. During tutes is the most depressing one. My mind not stimulated to think much yet. During discussions I just stone and wonder what the lecturer meant.. when she give us the questions to discuss. Wah!!!! Almost everyday I feel like want to cry because of studies :( Don't like!!!

However, I believe that God will bring me through as He has brought me through my transition here. I was very very blessed and still am blessed because I have all the support I can get & need here & my parents who brought me here as well. I have great house mates which so far, no problems & they are happening & fun people (including their bfs). I have people to keep me accountable... I have a bible study group, church Connect Group (CG) and a mentor to help me build my spiritual life... to teach me & disciple me. It is amazing! It's as if I am well equipped here by God. He has taken care of my every need. My physical, emotional needs, spiritual.. My mental needs.. eermm still working on that. Think He will be shaping me real hard! :P

So yeah... I expected more from the lecturers here. I thought it'll be way more interesting, their teaching styles. They are better in their working professions rather than lecturing, me think.. my friends think so too. So it's like similar to M'sia-la. However, I miss some of my HELP lecturers so much!!! Dr Goh, Ms Winnie & Mr Sulay. They rock! They know how to teach! They are the best lecturers I've known! They never fail to capture our attention. All of them have different teaching styles but they really rock my study life. Thank you, thank you, thank you :)

Ms Winnie may be small in size but she is the 'cili padi' of all the lecturers. She is fierce, fast & super organized. She is really good in explaining and making things simple for us to understand. She use relevant examples for us to remember. She drills it into you... everyone is practically scared of her, esp when she has bad mood... but she is one respected lecturer. She is really creative too.. like playing taboo & pictionary with 'psycho' words/terms for quiz! (got marks wei!). Oh, I can never forget Mr Sulay's personality. He is fun, he is funny, he is always excited! I just saw him today in UNI here!! Was shocked!! I thought he went US to continue his studies. So so cool! He is doing his PHD in Mass Communication here if I am not mistaken. I remember the fun projects we did like making our own magazine :) Dr Goh is like everyone's favourite lecturer. He is firm yet supportive, he has this smile on his face everytime he walks into class - bringing in the joy wherever he goes (He is really living for God and with God, even when he is not preachin - can see one!) and he is ever encouraging and understanding. Best of all, he is the Head of Psychology Department in HELP.

Yepz.. that's my update for the week. Will be busy with assignments this week and next. So please don't disturb me too much ya :) Don't worry, I won't forget you all. LOL!

Skirmish aka. Paintball!!!

My first ever paintball activity! My friends tried to persuade me to play paintball back at home but I either couldn't make it or I chickened out. I seemed to be more adventurous here in Aus for some reason.It cost me $AU15 for 50bullets.

The Overseas Christian Fellowship organized this event for us, newbies to welcome us. Don't underestimate the international gals here, wei! About 18 gals turned up for the game. There were 34 of us. Awesome, rite?!! XD

The game was cool. There were 4 rounds. I lay low & usually stayed/hid at the back, most of the time. I had 50 bullets and I couldn't even finish it!!! I lent my gun to my team leader during the first round, and during the last game, I kept giving bullets to my team leader. Still cannot finish! (The trick: before the last game, they loaded my gun with quite a number of free bullets). LOL! Eh, I did shoot k! Don't la say that I just hide and don't do anything. I was the last gal standing!!! Woohoo!!! I dodged my friend's shot & shot my friend (the organizer of the game) 2 shots on the face mask. Haha!!! Like that also can gain respect by some boys. So funny!

I got bruised but not that badly! Just that my left hand has a 'blue black' & my lil finger bled a but. It was really painful during the first hour. After that, I kept poking it but no pain! XD
