Winter is here and the leaves had fallen away,
As the leaves had left the branches...
What does it signify in our lives?
What will our story be for this winter season?
Will this season be a time of rest for many?
Like bears hibernate in their caves
To take time off
From their daily activities
Reflecting through the things we've done
That truly makes a difference
Thinking about the things we can do
Which would be worthwhile
Not just things that could bring an impact
For the present times or on earth
But things we could do
That would last beyond our lifetime
Will it be a time of healing
For those who are hurting?
A time to mend their hurts
From some secret wounds from the past
A wilderness for some
As the day becomes dark earlier than before
As darkness has prolonged its stay
As rain pours from time to time
May they still notice
The light within the darkness
May they still look forward
For brighter days ahead filled with hope
May they embrace
What they'll learn thru the wilderness
As they would be molded
To stand strong through many other winters ahead
Winter...
The time you can spend
With the ones close to you
and the ones you love
Think about fellowship
that would last throughout winter days
Fellowship that could stand strong
Even through the cold wind
Friendships and relationships will bloom
Like flowers when spring comes
Only if they've learned
To go through winter days
