I asked for strength that I might achieve;
I was made weak that I might learn humbly to obey.
I asked for health that I might do greater things;
I was given infirmity that I might do better things.
I asked for riches that I might be happy;
I was given poverty that I might be wise.
I asked for power that I might have the praise of men;
I was given weakness that I might feel that the need of God.
I asked for all things that I might enjoy life;
I was given life that I might enjoy all things.
I got nothing that I have asked for,
but everything that I have hoped for.
Almost despite myself my unspoken prayers were answered;
I am, among all men, most richly blessed.

Wow! If only we can put aside our prides and see things that way. Look at our circumstances thru His eyes... and know that He doesn't shortchange us but He is a God that loves to bless us.
However He does it in ways we do not expect or understand... yet. But when we do, we realize... that we are extremely blessed by His goodness, grace, mercy and love. We will soon realize that He knows what is best for us... and He provides the best, even when not everything in life seem to go on as well as we thought it's suppose to be or when we do not get what we want. He will provide us with other needs instead.
"God, help us be thankful and understand Your motive for answering our needs instead of all our wants in life..."

Health Freak?
"No chilli for a month", says the doc :(
Well, it seems that I haven't been eating healthily and that produced some problems. If not, why wouldn't I be able to take chilli, right?
Since then (well, last week) I've decided to live a healthier lifestyle. I changed my eating+drinking habits and decided to exercise too.
Drinking: Taking more than just a cup of water. I attempt to drink at least 2 cups and a bottle of water each day.
Eating: Eat more veggies and fruits. I think a dish of veg at least a meal a day. Trying to eat fruits every morning but at the moment, not enough fruits in refrigerator.
Supplement/vitamins: Taking supplement each day.
Exercise: Sit-ups, crunching (whatever u call it.. the one you lift your leg and down to exercise the bottom of your stomach) and cycling (on the machine). Doing it once in 2 days.
My bro is training me for my exercise. He is an expert since he gets trained by his gym instructor. So in turn, he is training me now! First training was 2 days ago... I was shouting in pain because it was so difficult! But I told myself, "Lizzie, YOU CAN!!! Persevere!!! Can ONE!!!". Hehe cheering myself on in my mind. Parents was wondering why were there someone shouting in pain. LOL!
The next day, I didn't quite feel any pain at first, but later in the evening, the pain grew...! T.T OUCH! So PAIN!!! If anyone were to touch my tummy, I would be screaming or something (ok la, not so drama :P). So I rested for a day. That's when I decided not to do it everyday, but on alternate days.
Hopefully whatever I am doing now, I'll do it consistently :) Wish me all the best!

Watch your hearts, for she'll take them every time and not even know it

2007 (continuation...)
Adventure
The first year I went overseas to study, is the year I had so much fun traveling with/became close to my heart. I am thankful that they would have me join the trips. I feel so blessed! :) The year alone, I went to Melbourne twice (April & Nov-Dec '07), Gold Coast/Brisbane (Sept '07), houseboat trip in Adelaide (July '07), 3 church camps (March, July, Dec '07), visited around Adelaide with different groups of friends - OCF budz, university budz and house mate, bf + friend. I thank God for the opportunity to travel with these people and enjoy traveling. Each vacation I went for, left memories... :) Through these adventures I learnt heaps about myself too.
Adventures are self-discoveries as well.
Independence
Being in a foreign place without my family and many people I really know, taught me so so much. Before going to Aus, I do not know how to live on my own. I didn't know how to cook, to clean... When I shared house with 2 other housemates, we had chores t do each day. So I had to learn to be more responsible and to clean the house. I learnt cooking from mum when she was in Aus with me for that couple of days to help me assimilate into a new home and place. I learnt to di laundry from housemates. Yes, I've never done any of these chores before until I stepped foot in Aus because at home, everything was provided for. We had a maid to do the cooking and cleaning for us. I was out so often, that I didn't pay much attention to prepare myself for my independence in Aus.
Well, with the independence I had in Aus, comes decisions in which I have to make as well. Independence on how I spend my time, how I handle my last year of uni, on the people I choose to mix with, how I want to live my life... etc. I won't say that I've done everything perfectly. I did some rights and some wrongs... but the experiences have taught me well. I'm learning to make the right decisions now because I realize that decisions doesn't only affect myself then, but the person I wanna be in the future and the people around me.
Independence is not easy to come by for some. Learn from it and live it out when you have the opportunity.
Freedom
With the freedom I have, I believe comes responsibility as well. I know that freedom doesn't come easy... but when I had all the freedom in Aus, I almost went crazy. LOL! Again, choices have to be made on the freedom I possess. Really, what is freedom? Does freedom come without boundaries? I can say that freedom without boundaries will lead to destruction, because you just can't differentiate what's right and wrong. Freedom without boundaries, made me feel happy for a moment because I can do anything I want! But soon I realize, that there really is no joy in my life because I do not seem to be governing my own life. Not all that comes along are good.
"Everything might be permissible, but not everything is beneficial"
Perseverance
I learnt to persevere in studies and hardships with others. It was so tough when you are facing assignments and examinations, when at the same time, everything else in your life came crumbling down as well. Everything that you've known and understood are at lost, and when you know that you're not doing the best you can or have no strength to continue on... I learnt not to rely on my own strength. I had friends and family who supported me through (in Aus, M'sia, wherever they may be), and esp God to keep me sane and cont to push me to live on.. persevere and not give up. I admire my mum's perseverance in all that she does and I thought to myself, if she can do it, I can too. My mum was like the living proof of success, after all the hardships she went through.
Perseverance... to push on, to do the things which seem impossible at the moment. To push through even when you don't see the end result yet, but trust that it is there. It's easier to persist when there is a goal ahead, when you can see a result at the end of what you're doing. Pushing through whatever that comes your way, and persisting in finishing the race.. finishing whatever that you've started. I felt the joy of persevering and it was all worth it!
Persevere with someone whom you think would push you beyond what you THINK you can do or are capable of, and help you to continue reaching your goal until the end.
Home/Family
When I was down and lonely, when I was hurt and was in the pit... When I fell into depression in Aus, home and family was the only place I felt belonged in. When friendships seem so shaky, when I felt I couldn't trust anyone, I was crushed with many issues and people, I felt there were no were else I could turn to... but my family. No one else could compensate the love that my family gave to me.
I've regretted so much that I didn't spend enough time with my family before I left Aus. When I was in Aus, they supported me from afar and when they knew what I was going through, they didn't blame me or point fingers to me.. but they continue to be patient and encourage me. I was surprised to hear their advices. I realized that they treat me, no longer a child but an adult. They've let go of me and asked me to make my own decisions for myself, but they were always there to support me through.
Mum was my inspiration to cont to press on and persevere through hardships. Dad was there to provide wisdom on taking ownership of my life and decisions. Bro... well, he nags me, but I know that he cares and worries so much for me :) I really really love them and I thank God for wonderful parents and bro.
The ones at home are the ones who should know & understand you the most.

2007
The year have taught me about...
Friendships
Different seasons, I had different close trusted friends. Making new friends and choosing the people you wanna be close with. Also, allowing God to move in the friendship and trust that it can work out. Other people can say lots about your friendship with another, but at the end of the day, the definition and decision on the matters of friendship is yours. Friend who was willing to go a mile for me... genuine friendship (with a brother in Christ) that I haven't quite experienced before. Sisters who are there through my thick and thins... whom I can share my life experiences with.
Not to forget, friendships which crushed my heart into pieces too, filled it with disappointments and anger. Friendships which sometimes needed to be initiated, to be pushed. Friendships in which you wonder whether it'll still run when initiation had stopped. Some did stop until you're suddenly remembered or not heard from for months. Friends whom assume the person you are without really knowing you. Friends who betrayed my trust. Friendships that were close but are no longer. Friendships which became awkward instead.
There is a need for balance in friendships.
A friendship extended to another, can make a difference in ways no one could ever know.
Relationships
Shouldn't be rushed. Knowing the person is essential. Having a close group of friends who can keep you accountable. Listening to what your friends have to say about the person. They do know better most of the time. When you're supposed to wait... pls WAIT!!! Do put it on hold. Be patient. A rushed relationship is temporary... Feelings can come easily but it takes both individuals' effort to make it work. Maturity is needed to handle a relationship. It is not only critical to consider spiritual compatibility... but also mental compatibility. One may aim for marriage in a relationship, but one does not need to be too focused on it. Sometimes relationship doesn't work out... IT'S OK if it doesn't. Commitment is not a feeling. It's a choice... Love is too.
True love waits.
Letting go
I don't have to keep starting anew. I can cont from where I am and try to make it right by learning from mistakes and moving forward - focused on what is ahead. Restarting my life in a different place, doesn't quite make it. Leaving what is behind is the solution for the ability to look what is ahead of you. Never keep ruminating about the past. Leave the past behind... or you'll be too blinded to see what is ahead, too dysfunctional to live, and too stunted to grow or move on.
Holding and focusing too much on one's successes and ol' glorious days can be prevent one from moving forward as well. What used to be good, can be better.. It doesn't have to be worst.
It's like a scar. When you look at it now, it doesn't hurt as before when there was a wound there. Evidently it is still there to serve as a reminder, to not make the same mistakes that caused the scar again.
Myself
It's ok to respond differently in different circumstances, but it is better to be consistent. It is ok to be angry or disappointed from expectations. It is ok not to smile all the time. I got lost trying to find for my identity - broke rules, broke boundaries, broke standards, broke integrity. One doesn't have to compromise one's values and beliefs to relate to another. It is always hard trying to mix with people who are different than you. The different characters in oneself, makes one unique - even so as weaknesses are included. Understanding my limits and how much I can push the limits. Humility becomes harder to possess in age.
How do you know if you're yourself? The peace upon the person you are now.
Sometimes, the only person who limits you from becoming your best, is YOURSELF.
His unconditional LOVE
A constant reminder that He still loves me from different people in my life. His love that could wash away my brokenness and hurts. His love that accepts me for who I am, even when I'm in the deepest lowest pit. Even when I ran away, He kept looking for His lost child, waiting for the child to be come back. His patience to endure my nonsense. His love that carries me.. and help me to forgive. His love that made a difference once upon a time, and can still make a difference in my life and other ppl's lives too. His love that can be seen through others.
He chose to love me still.

The Birthday Song
| Don't worry about that extra line That's creeping up upon your face It's just a part of nature's way To say you've grown a little more Trees have rings and thicker branches Kids shoes get a little tighter Every year we're getting closer to who we're gonna be It's time to celebrate the story of how you've come to be Happy birthday my friend Here's to all the years we've shared together All the fun we've had You're such a blessing Such a joy in my life May the good Lord bless you And may all your dreams come true So light a candle on your cake For every smile you've helped create For every heart and every soul You've known to grow a little more A few more pounds, a little more grey Don't count the years just count the way It takes a little time to go from water into wine Don't ever lose the wonder of the child within your eyes Happy birthday my friend Here's to all the years we've shared together All the fun we've had It's such a blessing Such a joy in my life May the good Lord bless you And may all your dreams come true by Corrinne May |
This is my fav birthday song! So meaningful! Cheers to all the Dec babies! God bless! :)

One time part-time job
Today was interesting... I was asked whether I was free to 'wash dishes' in the afternoon after church, and I'll be given $50 for it. I was like.. O_o *blur* at first! LOL! Since my friend really needed someone to replace the other person, who was sick, I agreed to help. I was clueless.. just follow only ler. Besides, my only plan for the day was to do my weekend chores, before I leave to Melbourne.
We went to Adelaide Hills... I so forgot that I had travel sickness... >.< So on the way, kinda dizzy lor but good thing wasn't that bad the ride. I got to spend time with this girl in OCF. I've known her but we didn't really get a chance to really talk and really got to know each other until today. So, it was awesome la!
Then we went to this Christmas BBQ private function in a house in Adelaide Hills, organized by one of the director of the units in Flinders hospital. WOW! The place was breath-taking. Personal winery place, there was a lake nearby and mountains ahead.. Wow... That wasn't it.. the food they were preparing for the party was DeLiCioUs!!!! *yum* Cooked by M'sians! (not me la). My friend and I just cut food only, and help to serve ppl. After that our main job were to wash dishes :)
You know what, I didn't know Australians had a different way to wash dishes. I really didn't know that lor... Now I know why the sink is often filled with water in my house... Aussies conserve water one, so they fill the sink up with water and put dish detergen inside after that. Then, they soak the utensils and plates in the sink and use the water+soap from the sink to wash. They don't wash it under running water like we do. I do agree that the way we do it, would really waste heaps of water. On the other hand, I wasn't sure how clean the dishes would be even after we washed it O_o I don't know man!
Anyway.. it was really an interesting day! I am very very happy being able to be part of this. We got to talk to some Australian ppl working in the hospital. We got to try out great food! eg. BBQ Prawns *yum* and so many deserts. It was ssssoooo delicious and irresistible! *saliva come out of mouth as we stare at the desert* We got to eat them.. bwahhaah!!! XD
If only my handphone didn't die on me *sobz (T.T)* I can take pic! WAHahahaha!!!
Sigh, but it's alright :)
Well, we each received $50 as promised! They were very generous.. even when I broke a glass >.< Yes, my clumsiness... I'm sorry!!! (T.T) But they told me not to worry and didn't deduct anything from my pay. I was shocked. I thought I'll get scolded or something. Wow. Amazing people. Thank you for your mercy!!!
So yeah. Today was a fruitful day! Came back, can't rest yet.. had to do laundry and do my chores before I leave to Melbourne tomorrow.
Yes, going to Melb tomorrow!!! Yey! Get to see my bestfriend and ko! Can't wait!

What's Good for Me
I ain't no queen of hearts,
I go through stages..
I fall in love
then complicate it
yea, you know the feeling
without much hope
just blind ambition
pretending that there's nothing missing
i always kept believing
that more..
i thought if i had more
i wouldnt get so bored
but everything just left me empty
love walking in and out of my door
wasn't good enough no more
when i don't trust myself, life really sucks
and the first time i thought it but i didn't do it
last time that's when i really blew it
so this time im gonna do it different
cuz i know i know i know
if i put everything i have into it
eventually, i'm gonna get what's good for me
cuz i don't want to
live my life wonderin'
if only
i woulda
i shoulda
i coulda
but i didn't
cuz i only blame myself yeah again...

Do what u think is best vs. His best?
Try so hard to be perfect vs. being the person He wants u to be, with flaws and weaknesses as He designed you to be?
Sometimes I wondered whether I stopped believing...
But if I did, I guess it was like what my mum told me
"girl, if u do not believe, u would not keep asking yourself what God wants and for His decision..u will decide for yourself"
Guess I'm just hanging on to that thin rope... still holding on as best as I can... If I let go, I'll fall.. but I am not letting go anytime soon!

Every Season
Every evening sky, an invitation
To trace the patterned stars
And early in July, a celebration
For freedom that is ours
And I notice You
In children’s games
In those who watch them from the shade
Every drop of sun is full of fun and wonder
You are summer
And even when the trees have just surrendered
To the harvest time
Forfeiting their leaves in late September
And sending us inside
Still I notice You when change begins
And I am braced for colder winds
I will offer thanks for what has been and was to come
You are autumn
And everything in time and under heaven
Finally falls asleep
Wrapped in blankets white, all creation
Shivers underneath
And still I notice you
When branches crack
And in my breath on frosted glass
Even now in death, You open doors for life to enter
You are winter
And everything that’s new has bravely surfaced
Teaching us to breathe
What was frozen through is newly purposed
Turning all things green
So it is with You
And how You make me new
With every season’s change
And so it will be
As You are re-creating me
Summer, autumn, winter, spring
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The seasons in my life this year... It has been a wild ride.Different people sent during different seasons.
Different experiences I needed to go through.
Different lessons from those experiences and from what I've heard and seen.
Different life stories heard and to be told.
Different things to let go.
Different timings for different decisions.
The changes in seasons determine how strong you are in going thru each of it. Each season has it's purpose. Each season requires a decision to be made. When a new season comes, you have to let go of the old, so that you can live in the new.

Spare specs back!
Oh btw, remember I told you that I lost my specs?
Last mon, for my first exam, I wore my sunglasses in the exam hall. LOL!!!! The invigilators did not ask anything! woohoooo! But some people must have thought it was weird though. LOL! I got teased a lot in church, during lunch, at home and my friend's house when I wore sunglasses at home, in the building, in the dark and at night. Sorry la.. I have to la.. if not I can't concentrate on the person when I talk to him or her, since I can't exactly see the person's face/eyes when I speak.. well, when I put on my sunglasses, friends said it's hard to talk to me 'cuz of the sunglasses. LOL! Now.. that's why eye contact is important when having a conversation! hehe.
I got back my specs yesterday :) Thanks to my parents who passed it (spare specs) to a friend's friend (pilot) who flew to Adelaide for a couple of days. I was supposed to collect from him but had an upset stomach and had to prepare for today's exam, so couldn't go to the city to meet with him. Thanks to my big bro who helped me collect my specs from him :)
Well, thank you friends (Michele, Daniel & Melvin) who helped me find for my specs when I lost it. I have no idea where is it? At the side road, smashed on the road or left in grocery store? So weird. Like it evaporated into air and cannot be found again >.<
Thank you dear friends, Kah Wai & Nesta, who brought me and teman me to the specs shop. Tried some specs when they were around. The prices are scary though.. and they were branded!
Thank you to my dearest parents who found a way to somehow send my spare specs here. They are amazing! Sorry that I am so careless >.< I've learnt from my lesson - to keep things properly and carefully!!!
Thank you Captain (won't reveal the pilot's name)for the willingness to bring my specs here! It was quite dark the past few days... suddenly with the specs, everything looks brighter! and helps a lot for exam.. and don't have to buy new expensive specs :) Thank you for saving my eyesight.
Thanks to my big bro, Peter who recommended me a specs shop to go, which has discount.. unfortunately couldn't find the shop, but it's alright. Think would have spent big bucks if I did go and get new specs. Maybe there was a purpose not being able to find for the shop you recommended. LOL! Well, thanks for helping me collect my specs and passing it to me :) You rock!

Exams so far... *sobz*
Biological and learning Psyc was alright though I though I could have done better :( 60 MCQ questions... My friends finished within 45 mins, and they were wondering why did I take 1 and half mins in exam hall to finish. I kiasu mah ;P Choosing answers... recheck again and again... The stuff I really studied, didn't come out much and I forgot some... the other stuff I last minute studied, I think I remembered more and did better >.< Sigh... Well, at least I put more effort this sem to prepare for my exam. That I gotta give myself some credit.
Research Methods 2 today. I gotta say I am kinda happy that I actually understood the questions and what they wanted. I got to answer most of the questions in the interpretation of tables and data part. WOW! Thanks to my friends who thought me again and again! Thanks Michele and Daniel :) The sad part, I didn't have time to really concentrate on MCQs (20 quests - 20 marks) and short answers (10 marks). As a result of that, I have no idea whether I can really pass this course :( Yea.... I spent almost an hour for each of the last section, interpretation of SPSS datas and writing up the results and all.. in which, I didn't really get to finish either. I started from the last section and moved to the first section... MCQs have to use my memory and tembaking skills. My mind was sooooo tired, stressed and panicky. All I wanted to do is to get out of the exam hall. Super cannot tahan >.< Plus, I soooo needed to go to the toilet T.T Keep telling myself, "wait wait wait.. lil bit more.. during exam better not go.. not enough time..". Haihz...
Well 2 more papers. Wanna prepare well for these papers!
Next Mon - Cognition and Perception - 60MCQs, 6 prepared essays - 3 hrs
Next Tues - Introduction to Organisational Psyc - 2 essays - 1 hr
Can't want to get exams off my back... T.T Lil bit more Lizzieeeeeee.... and whoever else who are going thru exams as well..

Blinded with shades
I love my beautiful sunglasses though my parents scolded me for getting it the last time.
This time it'll safe me because this is the only pair of specs I have here in Aus. My spare specs was unfortunately sent back to M'sia and has not returned. My current specs.... dropped off when I was wearing my sunglass >.<
sigh... I know for the past few days, I've been thinking and day-dreaming of getting a new pair of specs when I go home to M'sia or try out contacts. Just didn't occur to me that I'll lose my specs NOW just before exams.
Reminded me of the time I first lost my specs when I was 12 years old.. just before the main middle school examination as well. The 2nd time I lost it was during Psychology camp. So this makes it the 3rd time losing my specs I guess >.<
Well, at least I've got my cool sunglasses ;)Loving my sunglasses! I thank God I have them! XD Never regretted getting it!
Gonna ask for exemption from uni for wearing sunglasses in exam hall while doing the papers. or smtng!
Pray pray that can get la!

No motivation what-so-ever to study, BAD.
Mind keeps wandering about, BAD.
Man... so many BADs than GOODs >.<>.< Don't have much time to pack either. So have to hurry!!!
I only have 2 weeks to pack.
1 week before I leave to Melb for hols, and another week when I come back here.. but I'll be busy visiting places with my family when they come to visit. At least, I've got my family to help to pack as well then.
6 more weeks, then BYE BYE Adelaide :)

Music => emotions
Why do people listen to music with a different language although they do not understand it?
Can we somehow understand what the song ?mean deep inside?
Or is it just the tunes in which stirs the person's emotions?
I love to hear Korean and Japanese songs, especially soundtracks from the series for some reason, although I don't understand a thing they are singing.
Well, maybe it's the tune of the song that speaks to my soul?
The desire to hear smtng different than what I've already know?
hhm... there's something about music... that evoke individual's emotions & memories... whether you understand what it's saying a not...

I can't wait...
I can't wait to finish up my exams.. and go to Melbourne..
I can't wait to see my best friend and big bro there..
I can't wait to go home... back to M'sia... where I belong...
I can't wait to see my dear friend back home, who has been there for me...
I can't wait to see my brother, and disturb him when I am bored...
I can't wait to spend time with my friends and family...
I can't wait to visit my church once again... in the new building...
I can't wait to see my own house... and be in my own room and bed...
I can't wait...
I can't wait...
I can't wait... to see the one's close to me again... the ones in M'sia or Aus (Perth, Melb/Adelaide)... when I visit... Wherever that is, when I decide where to stay...
I wish I can tell you more about the things in my heart... but sorry, I can't reveal them...
I just... can't... wait... any longer...
Can I? Should I?
How long will it be...?
How long must I wait...
Does it really matter? 'Cuz... at the end of the day, I still have to wait...
Seems that life is all about waiting...

Somethings I learnt today...
No one else can take responsibility of your own life.
No one else can control one's heart, thought, feelings and actions.
No one else is to be / can / should be blamed if one cannot control one's feelings or thoughts.

Missing Home
I can't believe I am away from my family for 10 months already. Guess what? I actually survived! XD
Well, I miss my family a lot! :( I was just thinking yesterday evening about my family, while helping my friend with his filming assignment.
Family... sigh... I haven't really spent much time with them especially when I turned 16? I've always been so busy with my own work, ministries and friends. Family was a less priority for me at that time because I've taken for granted of the fact that they are always there and around.. at home.
Now when I think back about my family.. mum, dad, lil bro, aunt and uncle, who visits once a year, I really miss their company.
- I miss sitting around the table, eating with them during dinner.
- I miss going out for breakfast - indian mamaks, chinese hawker stalls (dim sum, prawn mee...) or cafes.
- I miss going out for lunches with my dad - "CHAP FUN!!!" and remembered my dad ask me not to be greedy... piling all the diff dishes on my plate :)
- I miss the times we went out for movie together as a family, or stayed at home watching a movie together.
- Years back, we used to play; chess, checkers, carom, ping pong (not much). I'm more a boardgame kinda person.
- I miss the times we went grocery shopping together, though I find it a chore at that time.
- I miss learning from my mum, how to bake cookies for valentine's day/friendship day and for Chinese New Year (CNY).
- I miss helping dad to compile all the CNY cards and hang it on the wall. We use it as deco in the house.
- I miss putting up the Christmas tree with them. I haven't been around the past years to do it :(
- I miss helping dad with the Mensa Treasure Hunt papers, stapling them.
- I miss my aunt and uncle heaps when they come back!!! We play games, watch movies, chit-chat... hhmm I should write them a mail soon.
- I miss my bro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot disturb him when I'm here!!!! I cannot poke him when I want to!!!! I can't talk to him about stuff he isn't interested to here.
- I miss learning from my dad how to organize the photo album :)
When I come back... I want to...
- Cook a few dishes for you guys (my family)
- Learn to cook even more dishes and bake, so that I can bless others and my family with it
- Be around more often, especially during family time
- Go out for movies with you guys (any Marvel movies out soon?)
- Play boardgames!
- Help around with grocery shopping, shopping, marketing...
- Help bro with his assignment if needed
- Spend more time with aunt and uncle when they come
- Just sit at my parents feet at times (ok not literally), but to listen to the advices they give about life
- Help clean up the house! I know how to clean already!! XD
I don't know how long I'll be back for... but I really am looking forward to go back home. Wish I can go home much much earlier. At the moment, there is some problems with the flight tix.
I love you guys a lot! Heaps of love, from your daughter, sister and niece.

Day of Rest
BWhahahaah!! I can finally say, "IT IS FINISHED"!!!! XD *Woohooo*
Yesterday was the last day of assignment.. T.T "Thank You God!!" *with tears of joy*
So SYOK! After I handed the assignment to my lecturer.. I went out.. feeling relieved and super tired. I only had an hour and half sleep that night.
It was a windy and sunny day (well the sun occasionally appear). I went out to grassy area.. and told myself.. I have to do this before I leave the uni.. I sat on the grace put my bag on it, and just lie down on the grass. "Finally!!!" So nicee I tell you, to just lie down on green pasture, not worrying whether it is dirty and just rest there... The clouds was shifting.. the sky so blue.. the environment so peaceful! I'm just loving it! It's like taking a wholeee chunk of stuff from what you're carrying on your back, throwing it aside and just.... being able to relax like that. It's SO awesome! I really needed that!
Rested for half an hour there... sun kept shining brightly on and off.. a lil irritating, but who cares?!! I know it's a lil odd that I'm the only one lying down there at that time.. usually I see heaps of people doing that but because it was windy and it was early in the morning, I guess no one was there yet.
had to wake up and go for class zombinized! I didn't even know I slept in class, until I got a phone call, and frantically tried to off it when I noticed class started already. LOL! WAH! Eyes were too heavy, so I went back to sleep again. That went on for 1 hr. Then, I woke up for the 2nd hour of the class. Later, I attended tutes! Finally!! I haven't attended tutes for quite a while because of assignments. Then, there was supposed to be another class, but I was told that we didn't need to go for it, since it's not coming out for exam. I know it's kinda rude to skip lectures... but I really really needed rest. My body felt as if it was gonna disintergrate soon.
So I went back home, took my lunch at 4pm!!! Had a friend to chat for a while... and totally konged out at 5.30pm - 10pm. Woke up for 'dinner'. LOL! I got to watch 'Heroes' again T.T!!! So niceeeee... After that I went back to sleep at 2am - 11pm. LONG GLORIOUSS SleeeeppP!!!! I didn't wanna get out of bed for class at 12pm today.. but I had to.. last week of classes man! XD
Am excited that exams are coming.. and soon holidays!! Lecturers helped us to prepare for exams. I am soooo gonna prepare well this time. Starting tonight already :)Yey yey yey!
Well, some of my friends have their exams started next week.. ALL THE BEST peeps!!! XD Mine starts on the following week when most of them finished already. ONE week break for preparation next week. Yeah man!! :)

Common sense, "Where art thou?"
I 'stole'/cut 'n paste this post from my friend's blog. Thought it was really interesting :) Thanks Pui Fun for putting it up! Enjoy...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My parents told me about Mr. Common Sense early in my life and told me I would do well to call on him when making decisions. It seems he was always around in my early years but less and less as time passed by.
Today I read his obituary. Please join me in a moment of silence in remembrance. For Common Sense has served us all so well for so many generations.
Common Sense
Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.
He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as knowing when to come in out of the rain, why the early bird gets the worm, why life isn't always fair, and how, on occasion, maybe it was my fault.
Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you earn) and reliable parenting strategies (adults, not children are in charge).
His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a six-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.
Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job they themselves failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer aspirin, sun lotion or a sticky plaster to a student; but could not inform the parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.
Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar can sue you for assault.
Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.
Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason. He is survived by three stepbrothers; I Know my Rights, Someone Else is to Blame, and I'm a Victim.
Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing.

Just a lil longer...
"Can we skip tutesss plsssssssss???!!!!" both my friend and I plead to one another. LOL!!
Yes, we just woke up at... 11.30pm or was it 12pm.
*sigh* stupid classes... and yet still so much to do after that 2 papers last week >.<
At the end of the day, we didn't attend tutes 'cause we got ready late and all.. It'll be really embarrassing to just go into tutes class for just half and hour >.<
Well... a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do... even if she has the monthly thing going on. Haihz.. they should declare hols for girls with mentrual. Losing blood makes a person really tired and unproductive, ya know. I really wonder how those with cramps get through the day? O_o LOL! Ok, I can't believe that I just blogged about this.
I so wanna be home... Wanna see my family and my friends... Can't wait to just be stress-free all over again, with nothing much to bother me or worry. Then again, when I get back home, I would need to make my decision about next year >.< Well, that's life, isn't it?
Gonna work my butt off tonight, the whole of Fri and Sat. Can't afford to waste anymore time already... I don't care whether I can finish up my assignment on time.. but I care whether I do well in it. I care whether on whether the lecturer accepts my assignment. If they don't... then, I gotta pass up on time lor >.<
It'll be over soon.. and once it's over....
SHOPPING!!!!!!!! SPENDING TIME & CATCHING UP WITH MY BUDZ 'n FAV PEEPS!!!~
What else? Can daydream some more and plan what I can do when I go home... bwhahaha
Do all that before I have to work my butt off for exams... XP

I learnt that....
"the only person that can possibly really stop you from moving forward... is yourself"
"it is ok to give yourself time and space... don't rush it, don't force it"
"it is possible to reach your goal, if you just wait for the right time to obtain it"
"waiting is not all that bad.. the results of it, can be more rewarding than you've imagined or expected it to be"
"having it all doesn't mean that you'll gonna be satisfied in life. Actually, all you need is just ONE thing that would make you feel fulfilled and satisfied for the rest of your life"
"you don't need to see love as something tangible, to know that it is love"
"having to know that ONE person is walking with you through life, is way better than having heaps of people around you, but wouldn't walk along with you"
"it is never too late, to discover your dreams, to run after them and make them come true, as long as you're still living..."
"sometimes, you've just gotta take ONE step towards others, and they would draw near to you.. I know God does"
"words alone can be an encouragement... words with actions makes a difference... words that comes with a sincere heart and followed by actions, changes lives..."

Food for thought
God is not looking for those who are clever,
but for those in whom He can be wise.
He is not looking for those who are talented,
but for those in whom He can be all sufficient.
He is not looking for those who are powerful,
but for those through whom He can be almight.

M.I.A. - Missing In Action
Yes I've been M.I.A.ing for the whole week.. and gonna be for this whole week. Only one group of people saw me the whole week... even my housemates hardly saw me around. I've been staying over my friend's place to do assignment together-gether, support, go crazy, help and stress with each other. LOL! It's amazing when the whole house is doing assignment together... hahaha We're either super quiet or super noisy. At least u know got people you can do things together. If I wasn't with them, I think I wouldn't have eaten or sleep for the whole week. Who knows? If I were to stay at home on my own and do my work, I think my lunch would most often be - packet powder soup + boil water = soup 2 drink! and my dinner will be "IndoMee".. yes, those instant food stuff.. for the whole week or smtng. LOL! What time would I sleep, probably during funny times...
I would like to finally say that... IT IS FINISHED!!! but.. sigh... who am I kidding? I still have 2 more assignments and exams to go. Well, at least the BIG HARD once are off my chest. Those reports were crazy. Well.. one of it..
I sent in both my reports late. Consequences: deducted marks-la. However, somehow I feel more satisfied about this sem's reports... Not so stress like last sem.. I don't think I have better time management, but it's like a great success for me to actually be able to handle these assignments pretty alright. I managed to focus more and put aside distractions, other thoughts and emo-ness.. I am not so frantic about not finishing on time, but to do it the best I can, which I think I kinda did. What else? Hmm.. yeah..
Well, I can certainly say that things have been different now. The people I mix with, the things I do and the people I'm close to. It's amazing how things can change within a month or maybe just in 2 weeks. Yea... Well, things change, people change, I've changed too... Changes in my life now:
- Began to mix with different groups of people
- Caught up with those whom I haven't chatted for months
- A bit more focused now.. well have to la.. but, I don't stress myself so much like last time with unrealistic expectations anymore... if I just can't finish it on time, I accept that la.. late admission won't kill me. I learn not from the actual task, but other things that comes with it. Picking up things in which I learn from the things I do... that can become principles in life and can mold my attitude. Eg. Assignments = perseverance.
- No longer stressing about being 'perfect' anymore.. LOL! Seems like I learnt to accept myself and certain situations as it is now.
- Learnt to give myself time and space to grow. As much as I want certain things to be solved or done, NOW... everything just doesn't work that way.
- Learn to focus on the 'now' that is needed to be done, than worrying so much about the future, and leaving the past behind.

Listen
Listen to the song here in my heart
a melody I start but can't complete
Listen to the sound from deep within
Its only beginning to find release
Ohh the time has come for my dreams to be heard
They will not be pushed aside and turned
Into your own, all 'cause you won't listen
[CHORUS]
Listen
I am alone at a crossroads
I'm not at home in my own home
And I've tried and tried
To say whats on my mind
You should have known
Now I'm done believing you
You don't know what I'm feeling
I'm more than what
You've made of me
I followed the voice, you gave to me
But now I've gotta find
My own
You should have listened
There was someone here inside
Someone I thought had died
So long ago
Oh I'm screaming out
And my dreams will be heard
They will not be pushed
Aside or turned
Into your own
All 'cause you won't listen
[CHORUS]
I don't know where I belong
But I'll be moving on
If you don't, if you won't...
[CHORUS]
by Beyonce, Dreamgirls OST.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ever felt like you've never been heard?
I did.
Ever felt as if your desires and dreams got buried deep inside?
I did.
Ever followed the voices of others around you, and not the one that is in your heart?
I did.
Ever felt like you're walking in life all your own, eventhough you've got heaps of people around you?
I did.
Ever felt as if your desires have been pushed aside by others, and soon yourself?
I did.
Ever felt as if the person closest to you do not understand you or know how you feel?
I did.
Well.. realize this.. I answered with "I DID".. all past tense.
Now.. just like the song.. I'm moving on..

Interesting & Encouraging
Look back and thank God.
Look forward and trust God.
Look around and serve God.
Look within and find God!
I asked God, 'How do I get the best out of life?'
God said, 'Face your past without regrets. Handle your present with confidence. And prepare for the future without fear!
Without God, our week is: Mournday, Tearsday, Wasteday, Thirstday, Fightday, Shatterday and Sinday.

Wait
Desperately, helplessly, longingly, I cried:
Quietly, patiently, lovingly God replied.
I pled and I wept for a clue to my fate,
And the Master so gently said, “Child, you must wait.”
“Wait? You say, wait!” my indignant reply.
“Lord, I need answers, I need to know why!
Is Your hand shortened? Or have You not heard?
By Faith, I have asked, and am claiming your Word.
My future and all to which I can relate
Hangs in the balance, and YOU tell me to WAIT?
I’m needing a ‘yes’, a go-ahead sign,
Or even a ‘no’ to which I can resign.
And Lord, You promised that if we believe
We need but to ask, and we shall receive.
And Lord, I’ve been asking, and this is my cry:
I’m weary of asking! I need a reply!”
Then quietly, softly, I learned of my fate
As my Master replied once again, “You must wait.”
So, I slumped in my chair, defeated and taut
And grumbled to God, “So, I’m waiting … for what?”
He seemed, then, to kneel, and His eyes wept with mine,
And He tenderly said, “I could give you a sign.
I could shake the heavens, and darken the sun.
I could raise the dead, and cause mountains to run.
All you seek, I could give, and pleased you would be.
You would have what you want – But, you wouldn’t know Me.
You’d not know the depth of My love for each saint;
You’d not know the power that I give to the faint;
You’d not learn to see through the clouds of despair;
You’d not learn to trust just by knowing I’m there;
You’d not know the joy of resting in Me
When darkness and silence were all you could see.
You’d never experience that fullness of love
As the peace of My Spirit descends like a dove;
You’d know that I give and I save … (for a start),
But you’d not know the depth of the beat of My heart.
The glow of My comfort late into the night,
The faith that I give when you walk without sight,
The depth that’s beyond getting just what you asked
Of an infinite God, who makes what you have LAST.
You’d never know, should your pain quickly flee,
What it means that ‘My grace is sufficient for Thee.’
Yes, your dreams for your life overnight would come true,
But, Oh, the Loss! If I lost what I’m doing in you!
So, be silent, My child, and in time you will see
That the greatest of gifts is to get to know Me.
And though oft’ may My answers seem terribly late,
My most precious answer of all is still, “WAIT.”

Stay in Uni
A group of 5 of us came together to discuss our Research Methods 2 report. We were panicking because we didn't exactly know what to do for it. It drove us nuts. So, we called in an expert! Thank God he managed to help us, or we'll be doomed!!!
I can't imagine how the others would be able to do it on their own or if they started later. It is crazy!!! That's why I dislike doing research work you see. Not my cup of tea.
We started meeting up 3.30pm (well, supposed to be 3.00pm la... but you know M'sian bad time management >.< my bad as well..) and just ended at 7.40pm. No.. we haven't like finished our report. We just got a better understanding on how to do one section of our report. This is only for one of our assignment (the hardest one la...). I have 2 assignments to pass up by this week. Hopefully I know what I'm doing.
Don't plan to attend my lectures cuz I'm rushing like crazy for these reports. 3 more weeks to go and we'll be free from assignments! Then, 2 weeks to study for exams. Yes.. it's crazy.
I really wonder.. are all Malaysian's alike? Because most of us don't have the motivation to actually start early for assignments (though we had like a 2 week study break previously!). Everyone is always doing last minute work... and it's our last year here.. well, last semester for me. Are M'sians (esp HELP students) out of their minds or Australian's face similar problems as us as well? hmm... I really wonder.
Well, it's great being here in uni, as we were able to do our work together with others. I definately wouldn't be able to do it on my own. I thank God for friends whom I can count on.. and people who are willing to help eventhough we may have just met. I guess we know that we can be comfortable with one another because we belong to the in-group of M'sians and previously HELP students (from the same college).
Hahaha well.. more work to be done now. Wish me all de best! 3 more weeks. Jia Yao and Gambatte to those who are struggling as well. You are not alone! XD

We will Dance
I've watched the sunrise in your eyes
And I've seen the tears fall like the rain
You've seen me fight so brave and strong
You've held my hand when I'm afraid
We've watched the seasons come and go
We'll see them come and go again
But in winter's chill, or summer's breeze
One thing will not be changin'
We will dance
When the sun is shining
In the pouring rain
We'll spin and we'll sway
And we will dance
When the gentle breeze
Becomes a hurricane
The music will play
And I'll take your hand
And hold you close to me
And we will dance
Sometimes it's hard to hold you tight
Sometimes we feel so far apart
Sometimes we dance as one
And feel the beating of each others hearts
Some days the dance is slow and sweet
Some days we're bouncing off the walls
No matter how this world may turn
Our love will keep us from fallin'
And we will dance
When the sun is shining
In the pouring rain
We'll spin and we'll sway
And we will dance
When the gentle breeze
Becomes a hurricane
The music will play
And I'll take your hand
And hold you close to me
And we will dance
The music will play
And I'll hold you close
And I won't let you go
Even when our steps
Grow weak and slow
Still I'll take your hand
And hold you close to me
And we, will dance

..........................................................................................................................................................................
The picture I got from this song is dancing with My Jesus & my future husband or life partner.
Both of you have been on my mind...
This song is dedicated to both of ya.
Dear God, thank You for holding my hand through it all. Thank You for guiding me and I know that You have been looking out for me. Thank You for all that You've done... and thank You for all that You're gonna do. Help me to trust that You'll provide me with my needs, desires and future. Things may not work the way I want it to be.. but Lord, let Your will be done instead of mine, because You have the bigger picture in mind and You know what is the best for me. Cont to show me your unfailing love, grace and mercy that You've poured out in my life... and the lives of others. As I cont to understand that, may I be the blessing to others for You and be the light You called us to be. Thank You for the dances we have each time I encounter You. May we cont to dance together to eternity.... Lotsa luv, your beloved daughter, Lizzie.
Dear future husband, I know that you'll be someone that is favorable in God's eyes. I know that you will love me with all your heart, guide and build me up in my walk with Him, one who would be patient and walk with me through the darkest valleys in my life. I know that you are waiting for me as well... and I will be waiting for you. Thank you for all that you've done (for God, me and others...) and gonna do... thank you for the happiness you'll bring into my life. I'll be waiting for the day whereby, we can dance together, in and out of our lives... and people will know and see that we are not by or on our own, but God is with us as well... holding both of us closely to His heart and protected under His arms... Lotsa luv, your future partner, Lizzie.

Fingerprints of God
I can see the tears filling your eyes
And I know where they're coming from
They're coming from a heart that's broken in two
By what you don't see
The person in the mirror
Doesn't look like a magazine
Oh but when I look at you
It's clear to me
That I can see the fingerprints of God
When I look at you
I can see the fingerprints of God
And I know it's true
You're a masterpiece that all creation
Quietly applauds
And you're covered with
The fingerprints of God
Never has there been and never again
Will there be another you
Fashioned by God's hand and perfectly planned
To be just who you are
And what He's been creating
Since the first beat of your heart
Is a living, breathing
Priceless work of art
Just look at you
You're a wonder in the making
And God's not through
In fact, He's just getting started!

Idealistic vs. realistic
I was talking to dad on MSN
About life just this evening
Dad says that I've a too idealistic mentality
that I need to be more realistic
Life is never sunshine or happy all the time
Friendships and relationships are never perfect
Getting a perfect job is hardly an option when you first begin
Be realistic… because you won’t survive without it
Fairy tales only happen in books and Disney movies
I look too far ahead and looked back too much
Why do I expect perfection when people are not perfect?
When I myself are not perfect...
Be realistic... this is my life. This is me.
So, Liz, deal with it!
Change what you can, and accept what you can't
Flaws, weaknesses, failures... whatever it is
You are still you, you just can't escape that
Know this truth, that God loves you
That no one can truly show you how much God loves you
Perhaps you’ll see a glimpse of it
Or they can only portray it for a period of time.
They are allowed to make mistakes and be forgiven
They are humans, just as you are
So, don’t condemn them as you are not condemned
In your weakness, He can make it His strength.
In your flaws, you are able to relate with others.
In your failures, you know that you can't do it alone and you can do better.
Life is unfair, but God is fair.
Life is harsh, but God is loving.
All the idealistic mindset, I cast them away
I leave it in Your hands
I want to accept what is real
in this life and in who I am
I no longer wanna be afraid anymore
Of the every decision I have to make, that can lead to a mistake
I no longer wanna hide anymore
from God, others and myself
Accepting who I am and what is happening around me
is the hardest thing
Surrendering all my dreams and my idealistic mindset
breaks my heart
I’ve gotta get up again and take one day at a time
Looking ahead, holding unto the hope
And promises He has for me.
Things don't just simply happen everyday
Only God can make it happen
and we could try to work it through our way
"Just do your best" that's what my dad said
In work, in life, in relationships...
in everything you gotta do or wanna do
Commit to Him and be true
Whatever happens, do not worry
let it be... and just know that
you've done all you can
And leave it.. all to Him.

A day of rest
I figured the best REST and productive resting period is when I...
- Read sermons I've missed, write them out & meditating on them.
- Listening to sermons on CDs or DVDs.
- Read inspirational articles about Christian women/role models (ENHANCE Christian Women's Magazine).
- Finally being able to read the books I was given to me/bought.
- Preparing for Bible Study beforehand.
- Discipline my body to sleep early & wake up early.
- Healthy & proper food with a balance of vegies and meat.
- Drinking lots of water - still can't achieve 7litres. So far achieved 1litre++?! Dat's how lil i drink.
- Stayin at home and just chill.
- Not staying online for too long helps to focus on other things more. So that life wouldn't just be bound to 'the net' or 'online chat'.
- Listening to light music.
- Watching just ONE movie max a day.
- Evening naps.
- Having a good, fun & meaningful convo with someone for a period of time (not the whole day or for too long).
- Reading inspiring blogs which lifts up your spirit.
- Blogging on experiences/what you've learned or sharing your joy.
- If you still have assignments, doing perhaps just part of it.. at least some part la. If u can manage your time properly to not do it for the day, even better. But don't la rush later until wanna die.. LOL!
It's when the day is slow-going and you don't have to worry about anything else. Doing things at your own pace, without needing to rush. A time for yourself to just reflect and finding ways to build yourself on your lil own time. Not exerting too much energy on the things you do.
Now, I am not so afraid of doing things on my own or having to just spend the day on my own :)
It's ok to be alone.. and you'll need time to recharged and be refreshed from everything else. Doing things that refreshes you physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually during your 'rest day', really helps and it is crucial. It helped me.
I guess that's the beauty of Sabbath day that God has ordained for us. We are rested in every way we can and in Him.. and we still can grow while we are rest. However, we are caught up with doing so many things each and everyday that we forget the importance of rest in our lives. Your body needs it.. your soul & spirit needs it.. God wants you to do so as well.
So take a day off, on the weekend... and just be refresh yourself, by Him and be refreshed for the rest of the week after that.
Oh oh before I forget, the measures you take to physically refresh your body have to be consistent... if not, you'll soon grow tired and weary again.

Hold Unto Your Dreams
Keep all your dreams so close to your heart,
and never give up, when your life's falling apart.
Let your dreams give you strength to carry on,
and help you find the future, you feel has gone.
Build on those dreams that you hold so dearly,
and you'll be able to see, your life more clearly.
These are your tomorrows you can make today,
and through the darkness, you'll find your way.
Nothing is impossible, as long as you believe;
those felt unreachable are possible to achieve.
Have faith in yourself and trust in God's love;
reach for the stars blessed by Heaven above.

My dearest.... BRO!
Just wanna wish you a BIG...
Yes yes, I know that I'm late >.<
My dearet bro..
I remember when we were young, I used to disturb you so much that you kinda 'hated' me. You would box me because of the things I said.. and we would fight fight fight. Well, you were so much more sensitive that time.. and I was.. well, less sensitive to your feelings that time.
Look at how much you've grown now!!! :)
Grew up to become such a young fine man.
I really do admire you bro.. you have certain strong characteristics.. just like dad.
You were always at home helping mum and dad with household responsibilities and to lend a hand to them anytime... whereas, I was not home most of the time, as my responsibilities mainly lies outside of home (but that does not make much of an excuse actually).
Dad, mum & I loves you very much.. I know that they are proud of you. I am proud of you too!
Thank you for being just around ya know:
- for me to disturb when I'm bored and craving for attention at home.
- for me to have someone around when I am down and gloomy (though my remedy is usually going out or locking myself in my room). But it makes a diff to know that someone is there.. and sometimes you'll ask whether I'm alright.
- to have someone to watch TV with. I love those moments in which I don't have to watch it alone in the big quiet house when no one is around.
- to have your silly jokes that makes ppl around laugh... most often it's SO RANDOM!
'Cuz SOMEONE hardly even MSN, SMS or even CALL me.. unless I say hello first or mum ask you to check on me.. CHEH!!!! *NOT HAPPY!!! >.<* LOL! Alright alright.. it's not about me.. it's about you :)
P/S: Oh.. btw.. he is awesome with kids too.. LOL! trained babysitter since his teenage years.. the kids simply loves and adores him.
Alright.. now some pics of him... bwahhahaa! Since I can't sabor you...
Are they still alive?
Love ya bro...
Lotsa luv from Adelaide, Lizzie.
P/S/S : EH!! COME VISIT SOON LA!!! *Sigh*

"Lessons Learned"
There's some things that I regret,
Some words I wish had gone unsaid,
Some starts, that had some bitter endings,
Been some bad times I've been through,
Damage I cannot undo,
Some things, I wish I could do all all over again,
But it don't really matter,
Life gets that much harder,
It makes you that much stronger,
Oh, some pages turned,
Some bridges burned,
But there were, Lessons learned.
And every tear that had to fall from my eyes,
Everyday I wondered how I'd get through the night,
Every change, life has thrown me,
I'm thankful, for every break in my heart,
I'm grateful, for every scar,
Some pages turned,
Some bridges burned,
But there were lessons learned.
There's mistakes that I have made,
Some chances I just threw away,
Some roads, I never should've taken,
Been some signs I didn't see,
Hearts that I hurt needlessly,
Some wounds,
That I wish I could have one more chance to mend,
But it don't make no difference,
The past can't be rewritten,
You get the life you're given,
Oh, some pages turned,
Some bridges burned,
But there were, Lessons learned.
And all the things that break you,
Are all the things that make you strong,
You can't change the past,
Cause it's gone,
And you just gotta move on,
Because it's all, Lessons learned.
